Daniel Gavato shares his "why":

"From first grade through fourth grade, I attended St. Theresa Catholic School in Pueblo, Colorado. Due to financial issues, all the Catholic schools were closed, and thereafter, I attended public schools. In eighth grade, I was sitting in the "regular" English class, when I was reassigned to a "Developmental Reading" class. I was a bit confused, but my weak reading comprehension test scores prompted this change. As I look back, the public middle school had resources to help my reading comprehension, and provided me skills that afforded me the opportunity to improve my skills and earn college degrees. By joining TheFiveEleven, I feel that I have a personal connection to those students who receive the attention they need to develop their learning skills for the future."
